Fascinating Me
:: Thursday, March 15, 2007

The lovely and inventive Yvonne Moon did a very flattering piece on me for this week's Rutherford Reader (a local Murfreesboro free press). I'm so glad they printed the whole thing...and stuck in both pictures!

You can read it HERE.
It will be up until next Wednesday.

Author Revealed
:: Monday, March 12, 2007

Dee and I took a day trip on Saturday to Kentucky to meet fabulous and glamorous paranormal romance author J.R. Ward. If you haven't picked up her Black Dagger Brotherhood series (starting with Dark Lover), then you're missing out on a world that will sweep you off your feet and demand to be devoured.

Look for my Genre Chick interview with J.R. Ward coming in September, in time for the release of the fifth book in the series: Lover Unbound.

Vance Briceland, Party of Three
:: Thursday, March 08, 2007

If the books are smart, quirky, romantic, and hilarious, chances are the covers say Naomi Neale, or Naomi Nash. But the name on the author's driver's license is Vance Briceland. Will the real Naomi please stand up? Private Investigator and Genre Chick Alethea Kontis investigates. Read the interview HERE.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
:: Friday, March 02, 2007

In honor of the Sweet Doctor's birthday, I read the classic Green Eggs and Ham today at the Barnes & Noble in Cool Springs, TN. We had birthday hats and finger puppets and coloring pages. It was a blast!

Of course, I felt the need to dress for the occasion...and I never go anywhere without my AlphaOops...

I hope you all had a fun day too. Be sure to read your favorite Dr. Seuss book tonight -- and have a great weekend!

Tiaras are Heavy!
:: Thursday, March 01, 2007

If you ever have the opportunity to meet The Sweet Potato Queen author Jill Conner Browne, I urge you to do so. You'll leave the event wondering when the last time was you had SO much fun.

When she came to Tennessee to visit last week, I met The Cutest Boy in the World, took a tour of the Big Ass Bus, and I was crowned a Sweet Potato Queen of 2007. I left with a feather boa, sunglasses, a tiara, and--best of all--a fabulously snarky new book to read.

See pictures of me being crowned by Miss Jill Herownself HERE.
